Schaffner posts net sales of CHF 202 million in fiscal year 2014/15

In the fiscal year 2014/15 ending 30 September 2015, the Schaffner Group recorded net sales of CHF 202 million (2013/14: CHF 215 million). The preliminary EBIT margin is 4.4% (previous guidance: 5.0%) and the preliminary EBITA margin is 5.3% (EBIT before acquisition-related amortization).

Extraordinary costs for the strategic review – in particular, the analysis of various options for the Automotive division – and initial measures to implement the new Strategy 2020 as well as the reorganization of the Power Magnetics division – namely the merger of the two production plants in North America – depressed EBIT by CHF 2 million.

Even though sales were below expectations due to market conditions, Schaffner continued in the second half of fiscal 2014/15 to implement its measures for developing and putting in place the strategy, while also strengthening the foundation for a positive business performance and for achieving the targets of the Strategy 2020.

The Annual Report 2014/15 will be published on 8 December 2015.
